Mindwerks Reading Lab
Grades 2-8    $25/day

Welcome to the Mindwerks Reading Lab, a fun and engaging after-school reading workshop. We use a combination of technology, read aloud, and quick jots to improve literacy, utilizing games, group reading, 1-to-1 literacy coaching, and homework help to foster growth in the following areas:

Phonemic Awareness and Decoding

Fluency (Accuracy, Speed, and Prosody)

Context Clues and Building Vocabulary 

Reading Comprehension

Serving 2nd-8th Grades, 10-Student Maximum in the Lab

The Lab is a fully functioning classroom, students do not need to bring technology. Cell phone use is not permitted in the Lab and must be stored in a silent mode in a backpack or at a designated charging station. Fully contained water bottles are allowed in the classroom, stored in the "Water Park" area where students can easily access them away from technology. Students must come prepared to learn and not hinder the learning of others, however there will be plenty of opportunity for fun with peers.

Students are encouraged to be enrolled in a 2-day (staggered) or 4-day program Monday-Thursday with an option for adding Fridays. Use the "Inquiry" button above or send a text or email to find out more!!
